From 1997 to 2007, Argyris Dinopoulos repeatedly documented, on the ground, the situation in the northern, occupied part of Cyprus. Three documentaries make up the dossier: the fate of the Orthodox monuments, the exploitation of Greek-Cypriot properties, and the historical portrait of Archbishop Makarios.
The documentary follows the churches and Orthodox monuments in the northern, occupied part of Cyprus — the damage, destruction and abandonment of a cultural and religious heritage centuries old. In his own words, he was among the first Greek journalists to record the situation in occupied Cyprus at first hand.
In 2007, Dinopoulos carried out a journalistic assignment in the occupied part of Cyprus for NET. The investigation focused, among other things, on the exploitation and development of Greek-Cypriot properties by foreign — British and German — business interests, an issue that in the same period was also before the European courts.
A historical documentary on the eventful life of Archbishop Makarios — the first President of the Republic of Cyprus and a central figure in the island's modern history. With rare footage, archival documents and testimonies, the film was broadcast by Antenna television in 1997, on the twentieth anniversary of his death.
