2024 · The fall of the Assad regime.

Twenty-three years separate the first four photographs below. They are Argyris Dinopoulos with the cameraman Vasilis Rozos. In 2001 together in Afghanistan. In 2024 together again in Syria, this time to cover the fall of the Assad regime. Always as Antenna's correspondents.

Antenna's assignment, from 9 to 17 December 2024, recorded the first days in Damascus after the fall of the Assad regime, with reports and live links despite the problems on Syria's mobile network, through which sound and picture were being transmitted.

In Argyris Dinopoulos's reports from Syria and the opening of the regime's maximum-security prison at Saydnaya, outside Damascus, with correspondents from all over the world recording the barbarity of the conditions of detention, and the process of the executions of those the Assad regime considered its enemies.
