1991 · The "Ten-Day War" in Slovenia — the first war of Yugoslavia's dissolution.

Argyris Dinopoulos covered every one of the wars in the former Yugoslavia, first as correspondent for SKAI 100.4 FM and afterwards for Antenna. From March 1991 he was in Belgrade, as the process of federal Yugoslavia's dissolution — at first a political one — began, with the deadlock over electing the federation's collective presidency.

In June 1991 he covered the "Ten-Day War" in Slovenia, in which the fighting was limited. It broke out after Slovenia declared independence, and ended on 7 July 1991 with the Brioni Agreement, the withdrawal of the federal Yugoslav army, and Slovenia's recognition as an independent state by the European Community on 15 January 1992.

It was, in his own words, "the beginning of the Yugoslav tragedy and the last war in twentieth-century Europe".
